"She couldn’t remember a time when she hadn’t been cold. The before times grew hazier with each day that passed, until she could no longer remember her father’s smile or the scent of her mother’s perfume."

Daughter of Shadows by Tiffany Putenis

"Very well written, well planned, carefully created characters that are dynamic and interesting! The novel was well worth the wait, and I love the author’s voice and style. Beautiful cover and map illustration. I love Roarke’s character arc, the engaging plot, and the unique magic system with a strong theme behind it. Another successful fantasy novel to strengthen the indie industry. Highly recommend."

Reviews

"Young adult reading level, this is a wonderful novel by a first time author. I recommend and encourage you to purchase this book as a gift or for yourself. As a teacher, I would use this book at the 5th grade level and up, and encourage 3rd grades and up with a good interest in fantasy novels and a decent vocabulary. I cannot wait to read the next book this author publishes!"

Into the Shadowlands

"I really quite enjoyed this book. Sarah can manipulate shadows but has lost all her memories of where she came from and why she can do what she does. Until the day she happens upon Kage, but learns about him and his father who is Dal’gon who wants her for himself. This story is very engaging and you get sucked into this world and the characters are very well written. I definitely hope there is more of these characters. A definite 5 star read."
